Day 1: Hanoi arrival – Night train to Lao Cai (D)
Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa (B)
Day 3: Sapa – Hill tribe villages – night train to Hanoi (B/D)
Day 4: Hanoi - Ninh Binh (B/L/D)
Day 5: Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Ha Long Bay (B/L)
Day 6: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B/L)
Day 7: Hanoi - departure (B)

DETAIL ITINERARY:


Day 1: Hanoi arrival – Night train to Lao Cai (D)
Our guide will meet you at Noi Bai airport and escort you to a sub-hotel in the center of Hanoi for freshen up. You are then attending the Water Puppets show. Enjoy dinner before taking night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.

Day 2: Lao Cai - Sapa (B)
You will arrive at Lao Cai at about 6.30. Pick up and transfer to Sapa about 37km from Lao Cai, have breakfast at local restaurant before check in. Relax or optional visit the town in the morning. In the afternoon, 2 hours trekking to visit Cat Cat village, home of a Black H’mong hill tribe, which is just 3 km from Sapa town. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3: Sapa – Hill tribe villages – night train to Hanoi (B/D)
In the morning, taking a drive to Lao Chai - Ta Van villages, Home of Dzay and Black Mong hill tribes. While trekking around the village, meeting and talking with local hill tribes to learn more about their daily life, customs and traditional habits. Optional visit around Sapa town or free at leisure before taking car trip back to Lao Cai train station. Get on the train return to Hanoi.

Day 4: Hanoi - Ninh Binh (B/L/D)
Arrive in Hanoi very early in the morning, pick up at train station and transfer to the city for breakfast and start to explore Hanoi city with Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Residence, One-Pillar pagoda Tran Quoc pagoda, Quan Thanh temple, Army Museum and Hanoi Flag Tower. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, depart Hanoi for Ninh Binh. On the way, visit Hoa Lu - ancient capital of Vietnam in the 10 century and the remaining two temples of Dinh King & Le King. Continue driving to Tam Coc. Dinner and Over night in Ninh Binh. 

Day 5: Ninh Binh - Nam Dinh - Ha Long bay (B/L)
After breakfast we take an early sampan rowing along winding streams deep in rice fields and limestone rocks to visit Tam Coc caves. Return to the boat quay after 2 hour visit. After that we proceed toward Halong via Nam Dinh and Hai Phong, lunch on the way. On the way, the car stops for the short visit to Tran temple and Pho Minh tower in Nam Dinh province. Get to Halong city in the late afternoon. Overnight in Halong.

Day 6: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B/L)
After breakfast at hotel, you will embark on sailing boat for cruising around the islets, caves and grottos of Halong Bay. The boat will stop a while for you to take a short excursion visit Sung Sot ('The Cave of Surprise') grotto. Seafood lunch served on board before leaving Halong for Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi around 16:00, time at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7: Hanoi - departure (B)
Breakfast at hotel and free time until transferring to airport for departure home.
