Welcome aboard the Mekong Eyes!
Treat
yourself to something exceptional - a memorable trip
on the waterways of the vast Mekong Delta! The
Mekong Eyes is the perfect holiday vessel to cruise
the Mekong in style. Once a typical rice barge, it
now offers beautifully decorated cabins and a
stylish lounge area. While you are basking on the
sun deck our friendly staff will pamper you with
cool drinks and freshly cooked delicacies.
Unforgettable impressions
Forget strenuous day-trips: The Mekong Eyes is
the first choice in on-board accommodation on
the Mekong. You wake up well rested in the
morning and have plenty of time for extensive
and authentic holiday impressions.
Glide
through the lush green jungle and enjoy the rich
diversity of vegetation and landscape. Get up close
to the vivacious every-day life on the river: the
rice harvest on the verdant fields, river families
living on boats, children splashing in the water.
Merchant boats will offer you an abundance of fresh
fruits, and the floating markets will take your
breath away with their teeming life, razzle-dazzle
of aromas and orchestra of sounds.
Relax and enjoy
Take
an afternoon swim. Stroll along one of the secluded
canals and discover an exotic world of its own. As
the dark falls, enjoy a high-class dinner at our
restaurant before retiring to the comfort of your
cabin. Close your eyes and fall asleep to the gentle
lapping of the waves.
The
Boat
The
Mekong Eyes combines regional boat-building
traditions with modern comforts to become the
perfect holiday vessel to cruise the Mekong in
style.
At
39m long and 8.5m wide, the Mekong Eyes river
cruiser was built out of an old, traditional rice
barge with the finest quality wood, and artfully
decorated by skilled craftsmen of the Mekong Delta.

Why Mekong Eyes? – One of the traditional ceremonies
performed on a newly constructed Mekong boat is the
“eye opening”. The eyes are painted on the bow for
good luck, a wide-awake crew and fast and safe
journeys.
It
contains 15 lavishly furnished twin and double rooms
and can accommodate up to 30 passengers. Each room
has a private bathroom with shower and hot water,
wardrobe, air-conditioning and fan. The rooms are
well insulated against climate and sound, and all
offer a phantastic panoramic view of the river.

There is a large dining room in lower deck, and a
stylish upper-deck inside sitting lounge, an open
sitting area and sun deck on the top.
